  1. Main objectives of the role
  • Finalizes correct and professional used car sales under consideration of all legal and contractual provisions and helps to establish a positive car dealership image

  • Evaluates the requests of interested parties / buyers according to their financial situation to sell used cars

  • Uses specialized dealer qualities, e.g. specialised consulting, financing, leasing, warranty, followup service, registration service
  1. Tasks and activities of the role

Supports Marketing activities and initiates first contact

  • Plans and conducts acquisition activities in the case of select target groups in the particular market area (e.g. used cars days, BMW Premium Selection days or promotions)

  • Approaches and consults professional customer/interested party (e.g. via email, telephone, at events)

  • Makes followup after initial contact

  • Coordinates interested party and customer appointments and delivery dates

  • Handles complaints

  • Analyzes the sales area and market potential

  • Updates the sales literature and promotional flyers

  • Establishes and secures contacts with interested parties

  • Provides information about improvements and expansions to the car programmes to be offered and to the car presentation and providing recommendations to the sales manager

  • Creates & systematically administers customer and interested party files and enters ascertained & current customer data (address generation via instore contact, marketing measures, e.g. events)

  • Systematically develops recommendation potential (includes customers recruiting customers and recommendations from colleagues)

  • Regularly checks the inventory and fair market prices and uses these to derive recommendations for the sales manager

  • Makes sure customer data are stored in CRM system

Performs the need analysis

  • Performs customer need analysis

  • Systematically presents the car while creating a clear customer connection

  • Gives statement of benefits based on the reasons for purchase

  • Helps the customer to experience the car with all five senses

  • Organizes the test drive with the needbased car

  • Explains the advantages of the BMW Premium Selection Program, BMWi Premium Selection and MINI NEXT.

  • Identifies additional parts need for requested vehicle

Prepares the offer of purchase and closes the deal

  • Checks pricing regularly

  • Negotiates price/conditions (including FSoffers and tradein and under consideration of current sales promotion measures)

  • Offers followup

  • Processes the used car evaluation:

  • Initiates a technical evaluation

  • Conducts commercial evaluation

  • Establishes the acceptance price in coordination with the sales manager

  • Advises customers and potential customers about insurance services and used car warranties

  • Assumes responsibility for the cleanliness, flawlessness, and operational readiness of the cars

  • Prepares the contract: Drafts the contract, defines the price / conditions under consideration of tradein

  • Finalizes sales / obtains order confirmation

  • Concludes insurance policies and used cars warranties

  • Clarifies delivery modalities

  • Accepts and initiates implementation of customer change requests

  • Organizes and coordinates the date for used car takeback including evaluation

Coordinates the car delivery/handover

  • Schedules delivery

  • Initiates preparation of the car in the contractually stipulated delivery condition

  • Creates necessary car and customer documents

  • Arranges delivery in a customeroriented manner

  • Provides car information

  • Informs about the range of services of the car dealership; introduces service colleague

Loyalises customers

  • Provides customer support in the case of complaints and warranty and goodwill cases

  • Maintains and secures customer contact via telephone and written correspondence (including internet contact and after delivery)
