We are looking for an organised, efficient and self motivated individual to join our Profit Protection team supporting our Profit Protection and Compliance Manager in delivering a plan that mitigates risk, reduces loss and protects CRUK assets across a portfolio of charity shops as part of a field based team.
What will you be doing?
Work closely with the Profit Protection and Compliance Manager to create robust and effective loss prevention strategy and processes. To analyse cash and stock loss intelligence data Responsibility for preparing and conducting cash loss, stock loss & Gift Aid compliance investigations on a proactive and reactive basis Provide high quality security based advice to Shops and Area Management teams, advise on Trading Security policy. Liaise with HR (and other internal teams) as required to support investigations Liaise with the Police (and other external bodies) testify in criminal proceedings where required and pursue asset recovery. Travel as required to deliver the security strategy on both a preplanned and short notice reactionary basis Support shops post burglary incidents Work with Shop Managers, Area Managers and other retail field staff to investigate and reduce loss and improve security through knowledge sharing, coaching and Area meeting attendance Support the Shop Audit compliance programme as required
What skills will you need to bring?
Security investigation experience Experience of interview and interrogation techniques (preferred) Retail experience, commercial and financial acumen Analytical mind, keen eye for detail Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel An understanding of retail EPOS systems Excellent communication and organisation skills, able to exercise tenacity and diplomacy in difficult situations Flexibility to travel as required on a reactive basis with some overnight stays Full UK driving licence
