Payroll System Administrator



We're looking for a Payroll Systems Administrator at our support centre in Redditch. This role is accountable for the administration of the Halfords Payroll system ResourceLink

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of the payroll system (Resource Link)

    • User, access management, Profile & Role set up
    • Setting rules and workflow
    • Preparation of reports and dashboards
    • Data management, including cleansing, monitoring quality and structuring
  • Management of a backlog of customer requests

    • Prioritising and refining requirements in collaboration with product owners
    • Support operational requests and problem resolution
  • Support development training materials and deliver training to the wider business as required to increase adoption and overall productivity
  • Support evaluation of new releases to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users.
  • Support all Payroll data transfers in and out of Halfords HR system (Dayforce)

Key Skills/Experience

  • Working knowledge and experience of ResourceLink systems administration (Essential)
  • Demonstrable experience with configuration including creating reports, pay elements and post models.
  • Able create and evolve controls and governance; release management, standards (coding, testing, data) and naming conventions
  • Payroll processing knowledge and experience of supporting multiple payroll processes.
  • Proficient in Excel and XML (Desirable)
  • Experience working with or supporting integrated HR systems (Desirable)
