The IT & Technical Services Team is responsible for maintaining and developing business's IT systems, services and infrastructure. Our busy team enjoys a varied and interesting working environment filled with challenges and projects, no two days are ever the same!

Job purpose and main duties

  • Ownership of the 1 st line support role , resolving identified technical problems
  • Telephone, email, remote and 1 st person support to our parks around the North West
  • General maintenance and support of defined computer equipment and software
  • The resolution of identified technical problems
  • Maintenance of, and to take ownership of the IT Department's Asset Inventory and stock control systems
  • To keep detailed, accurate records of hardware, software and of support requests and actions taken using the IT Department's Help Desk software
  • The maintenance and development of the company's data infrastructure
  • To support staff in the appropriate use of IT equipment as defined by company policy
  • The undertaking of general tasks which will promote the use of IT across the company including training staff in the use of IT equipment and software
  • To provide support cover during staff/management holidays and to be part of the on call from home rota at weekends

Essential to your success

The ideal candidate for the business IT & Technical Services team will demonstrate the following attributes:-

  • At least 2 years' experience of providing technical support for servers and/or desktop end users
  • Experience with (and good understanding of) Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Good understanding of PC and server hardware architecture, building, configuring and installation
  • Good understanding and ability to troubleshoot TCP / IP Networking
  • Excellent customer service / communication skills
  • The ability to instinctively find practical and technical solutions to complex problems
  • The ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Full, clean UK Driving License

Not essential but skills which would support your growth

Experience & Skills with any of the following:

  • Virtualisation
  • Microsoft Exchange server
  • General Email technologies
  • Understanding and experience of software and hardware firewall and general IT security
  • Understanding and experience of WiFi/RF technologies
  • VOIP systems
