Test Team Lead


£30,000 - £35,000 per annum Plus Benefits & Car


Morrison Utility Services are recruiting a full-time Test Team Lead based in Stevenage to manage the independent system testing function that operates within the Intelligent Solutions Team.

The Test Team Lead will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and supporting all test activities and resources in the system testing function and facilitating the management, preparation and execution of testing across all system changes.

The role will also be required to build effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the management of expectations and support delivery of changes to an agreed scope and deadline.

Duties will include:

oManaging the available system test team, allocating their time appropriately to the incoming work.

oEstablish and manage a system testing framework.

oLiaise with the stakeholders to ensure clarity and accuracy of requirements and expectations.

oSupport the other members of the system testing team with their tests, queries and communications.

oTrack and report on the quality of the system testing team to provide updates and feedback to senior level management, recommending improvement   strategies where required.

oWrite test scripts.

oCarryout execution of test scripts.

oManage SLAs of the system test team and track the success of meeting them.

oEnsure governance, recording and documentation of system test procedures, results, defects and issues is standardised and effective.

oEstablish effective working relationship with business analysts, change managers and stakeholders, ensuring testing is considered early in the project life cycle.

oLiaise with the development team to ensure cohesive working relationships.

oProvide time estimates for system tests to be carried out to a good level of accuracy.

Ideally, the candidate will have the following:

oDemonstrable experience with system testing

oGreat attention to detail

oGood leadership and communication skills

oQuality focused with commitment to best practice

oGood ability to plan, schedule and prioritise

oThe ability to present or report to senior level management

o   UK travel is required

oExperience and a good understanding of Sales Force
