Candidate requirements and responsibilities:Some general hands on mechanical experience e.g. working on cars or bikes in spare time.Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and to follow instruction.Ability to approach problems logically.Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation both verbally and written.Attend both college and the workplace for the duration of the apprenticeship.Complete all training modules successfully and in a timely manner with the support of external auditors.Develop mechanical knowledge and experience in the field of CNC machining.Develop a full understanding of all metrology and tooling used to support production.Adhere to all company policies, procedures and documentations.Qualifications
4 National Five Qualifications or Standard Grade equivalent level 3 or above. Mandatory subject qualifications are English, Maths, a Science and technical related subject including Graphic Communication. Applicants with a relevant NC qualification of Intermediate 2 Maths plus one Higher (Science/Technical related subject at a Grade C or above may be considered).
The company will support you through SVQ3 level plus HNC qualifications during the 4 year apprenticeship. The first year will be based full time at college with the remaining 3 years based on site.
