Gas Main/Service Layer (NCO2) - Bridgwater

Working with Wales and West Utilities, we are part of the team helping to upgrade 470 kilometres of the South West and Wales gas supply network every year.
This is a great opportunity to work directly for Morrison Utility Services with potential to develop your long term career in the utility industry with the leading utility services provider in the UK and Ireland.
We are looking for suitably qualified Gas Main/Service Layers and Main/Service Laying Teams to join our expanding workforce installing and replacing gas mains and services.
You'll need to be experienced and qualified to Network Construction Operations Gas Level 2 (NCO L2) Main/Service Laying.Ideally you will have recent experience of working on the gas distribution networks.
All tools and equipment will be provided. Team Leaders will typically be provided with a fully equipped company van and fuel card (Business Use Only).
- Level 2 Network Construction Operations (Gas) Main / Service Layer
- Full driving licence
- Good customer and communication skills
- Be physically fit
- Good practical skills
- The ability to follow written and spoken instructions
- Good team-working skills
- An understanding of on-site health and safety
- Ideally you will hold a NRSWA Streetworks Operative qualification
Basic rates of pay before incentive earnings:
- NCO L2 Team Leaders: £700 per week (£36,400 per annum)
- NCO L2 Team Members (Main/Service Layers) £600 per week (£31,200 per annum)
- Plus overtime when required, Safety Bonus Scheme and potential for other recognition payments
These positions are direct employees of Morrison Utility Services and include free issue safety workwear and PPE.MUS operate a 45 hour working week with benefits including 21 days paid holiday, sick pay and paid Bank Holidays.
We are recruiting for various locations around Bridgwater, these include: Bridgwater, Weston Super Mare, Yeovil and North Devon.
