Principal Consultant Medical Devices

£32000 - £45000 per annum + Commission on all billings!




Basic up to £37,000 although can be flexible depending on experience. You will also receive commission on all billings in this position plus additional regular bonus and management bonus structure once you are managing Recruitment Consultants in the team. Our client operate Monday to Friday 8.30am 5.30pm but can be flexible on particular days around start/ finish times. They have modern, spacious offices in Leeds and as a cash rich agency are fortunate enough to be able to house an onsite gym and offer free parking to all employees.

The role: This position sits within the Medical Devices arm of our clients Leeds operations. They are a permanent focused staffing provider with a core market presence within senior appointments, working on a mix of contingent and retained business. Having supplied into the Medical Devices field for over 10 years they have a wide array of clients, a lot being worked with on either an exclusive or small PSL basis. The Principal Consultant will work within the wider team managing the cardiology arm of the business. As a Principal Consultant you will be the lead client contact within the cardiology division and the company subject matter expert. Cardiology is an established market for our client, meaning that you will join them on a warm desk (due to the current inhabitant moving overseas) and will have the capacity to recruit Consultants to work under you within your division. As Principal Consultant you will be eligible to partake in our clients management development scheme. This involves internal training and mentoring as well as the company supporting you in external study and if you choose enabling you to gain a BSc in Organisational Management. The long term career path of this role is to Directorship.

Experience needed for this job: This is a senior hire for our client. You will be fortunate enough to inherit a warm desk with some highly respected clients with exclusive immediate requirements and a strong candidate database. As a point of authority on Medical Devices in particular cardiology all applicants must have a successful track record of working as a Senior Recruitment Consultant within the Medical Devices market and ideally will have placed within the Cardiology niche. Our clients average consultants in this market bill between £200,000 and £500,000 GP per annum so you will be expected to demonstrate solid permanent billing figures and proof of billings during the interview process. A considered, professional manner and the desire to manage staff is also key in this hire.
