Male knocking on the boss office door

Here’s another list of movies that recruiters should watch for valuable recruitment tips, but for somewhat older films than our original post.

The 39 Steps (1935): suggests you should look beyond the CV of the candidate. Yes, they seem to have moved around jobs a fair bit, travelled the length of the country, crashed several cars… But they may well be dashed resourceful and ideal for the role of saving the country or the client’s company.

Full Metal Jacket (1987): just how will the candidate handle pressure?</p<

Apocalypse Now (1979): is the candidate a natural-born leader? And how far will they go?

Predator (1987): team player? Innovative?

The Usual Suspects (1995): can the candidate think on their feet (or sitting down in the office). Or is their backstory just an intricately-woven fabric of lies?

And finally, Pulp Fiction (1994): begs the question – just what was in the candidate’s briefcase?
