Q: What inspires and motivates you to get up every morning?
A: I love having a team around me. The team at Big Change are amazing, and it gives me the opportunity to work with some really smart and motivated people. Every day, my task – my job, is to get more out of every individual. I’m always looking to improve, but I would say that working with a great team is what gives me the motivation to make us even more successful.
Q: What tips would you give someone when attending an interview?
A: Tips I could give a candidate would be really not to second guess the interviewer, and really do your homework. Make sure you really know about the company that you are visiting or attending a webinar for. Make sure you know about the company and you have done your homework. Always listen to the interviewer.
Q: How can you keep people motivated long term, when remote working?
A: The big thing about remote working is it’s important to keep everybody motivated. So you should have lots of team talks and social activities. For instance, this evening we are doing a quiz night. Encouraging our employees to start new projects, and new ideas. We’re even doing a Dragon’s Den – we’re getting all the teams to work in groups and come up with money-saving ideas. So, it is important to stay connected.
Obviously, it allows time for everyone to reconnect with customers and undertake training to improve their skills. With the downturn in sales, it is very concerning, so we are investing in new product developments including things like AI data warehouse architecture. We are creating new marketing initiatives to try and encourage new sales. We are developing new projects which will help keep people more motivated.
