Salary range £80k to £98k, depending upon experience.Manchester based. Human Appeal is a faith-based international charitythat aims to tackle poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainabledevelopment programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.We save lives and empower local communities whilst championing humanity,impartiality, neutrality, and independence.Headquartered in Manchester, Human Appeal has grown toencompass approximately 120 staff around the UK as well as 8 Field Officesacross Africa, Asia and the Middle East (Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine,Somalia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen) and 3 further Fundraising Offices in Europe(Ireland, France, Spain). Our organisation is currently enjoying a period ofinnovation, and we now seek a dynamic and ambitious CEO to lead our passionateteam, developing and directing our long-term global strategy for change, growthand performance improvement that will deliver positive humanitarian outcomes ona major international scale. The CEO will work closely with Trustees and liaisewith Government bodies and international agencies, to position Human Appeal askey player in the sector. The Successful Candidate Must:
= Be a seasoned CEO who has previously led a majorglobal charity across a sustained period of time (minimum 3 years as CEO) witha demonstrable track record of developing strategy, building organisationcapability, generating significant financial growth and delivering measurableresults as an aid agency
= Possess an established, positivereputation, at the most senior level within the INGO Sector, for workingsuccessfully in challenging cultural environments
= Be proven as adept and experienced innetworking, influencing and negotiating with senior level stakeholders acrossgovernments, NGOs, and other influential bodies including the varied sourcesof funding, encompassing major organisations, necessary to advance the work ofthe charity
= Possess strong people and inspirationalleadership skills
= Have an entrepreneurial approachdeveloped in competitive business environments requiring commercial andfinancial acumen
= Be a credible expert and thought-leaderon current international humanitarian issues, with the drive and passion toturn expertise into results
= Possess academic qualification at aminimum of Masters level to demonstrate the intellectual capability to lead inoperationally complex, thought-challenging and political environmentsBenefits Include:
