Marketing Manager position within a leading B2B media organisation
Central London location
Ownership over the marketing campaign strategy for a portfolio of awards, conferences and memberships
Reporting directly to the Event and Content Director
The Role: The company are recruiting to replace an integral marketing role within the business following an internal promotion. This role will report directly to senior leadership (Content and Event Director and Sales Director) so the successful candidate will need to have confidence in building and running a successful event marketing strategy. First on the agenda for the incoming Event Marketing Manager will be to map the existing audience, look at gaps in the market and deliver a competitive analysis. Key metrics for this role will be driving awards entries through online forms, driving leads for table sales, sponsorship opportunities and paid delegate tickets. They will use a widerange of marketing channels (email, social, paid advertising, website, print/trade advertising, PR) to target the audience all year round with marketleading content. It is important that the successful candidate can write fluently in English.
Responsibilities for the position of Event Marketing Manager include:
Creating marketing strategies for a range of awards, conferences and memberships
Developing a deep understanding of target audiences, markets, and competitor landscape
Generating marketing qualified leads for the two sales teams sponsorship and delegate
Managing marketing budgets for each event
Working with key stakeholder groups including; production, sales and marketing
Be brand guardian for this portfolio within the organisation
Running the tactical execution of the marketing campaigns across email, social, SEO/PPC, website, direct mail
Being proactive and innovative with the campaigns and events
Working with the sales teams to understand their goals, and generate support collateral/presentations
Creating meaningful KPI analysis, campaign reporting, and identifying opportunity for future improvement
To be considered for the role of Event Marketing Manager
you must have:
B2B events marketing experience
Experience of managing multiple brands or products
Experience of writing strategic marketing plans
Multichannel campaign management experience
Experience of marketing technologies, data, and commercial lead generation marketing
Excellent analytical skills and an understanding of online and digital channels
Ability to gain a strong understanding of key audiences
