About the job

An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Director, with a strong digital understanding to drive business forward and open further doors with existing clients.

Take total responsibility for the control of all work for your clients, ensuring its timely progress through the company and that it achieves and exceeds the expectations of your clients
Ensure through efficient administration systems and close monitoring of suppliers that all jobs are carried out efficiently and to a high standard
Be confident in building relationships with clients
Provide client with confidence that we will meet the client’s own expectations in terms of accuracy and quality
Ensure project quality and excellence
Maintain and, from time to time, review operational procedures being used on your clients
Recommend and implement process improvement aligned to company goals
Review all jobs on completion both internally through assessment and externally in a client summary or creative review
Managing the work, performance and professional development of team members
Take a hands-on approach to supporting the team through coordination of work flow, brief-writing and approval, calculation of costing/estimates, invoicing and project management
Be aware of and monitor clients’ marketing activity and that of their competition, developing an understanding of market dynamics, and client/competitor strategies and objectives
Work with the client to develop campaign and marcomms plans
Ensure that all accounting procedures are efficiently adhered to for company and your clients
Monitor accuracy of invoicing and payment of invoices by clients; maintain awareness of client expenditure month on month. Ensure profitability of projects
Maintain financial control of the account, reporting, NPS action plan and oversight of project-to-head allocation
Anticipate and develop solutions to quality or cost problems
Take a keen interest in the development and personal potential of the Account Management team and enhance this through training and formal appraisal processes
Ensure the team adheres to our processes, procedures, vision, values and behaviours
Demonstrate a good understanding of all aspects of marketing
Participate in client presentations
Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities with existing and future agency clients
Negotiating contracts and fees with marketing directors and client procurement personnel.
Such other comparable duties as may be required by the Company
Skills and experience:

Two to three years’ in a senior account management role
Evidence of clear progression within account management/client services roles (i.e. from account executive level upwards)
Experience of identifying and attaining new business opportunities
Strong understanding of client brand guidelines and keeping abreast of relevant developments
Experience of monitoring and reporting client profitability, along with revenue forecast planning
Maintain a detailed awareness of relevant market trends affecting your accounts, and developments in the wider technology, marketing and communications industry
Strategic mindset with a strong eye for detail
Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to appreciate client demands
Understanding of digital technologies
Basic understanding of natural language processing, deep learning, and other AI disciplines is a bonus
