Your role within the Oxfordshire Children's Centres will be to ensure the provision of an effective, efficient and qualitative business support service within the East Oxfordshire area. The services are predominantly Children's Centres for children under five and their families. They offer a range of activities, play, information and support from professionals, working in a wide range of fields, whatever their background or circumstances. You will need to demonstrate that you are able to ensure the provision of an effective, efficient and qualitative support service to a team or a number of smaller teams through the provision of effective systems, management, planning and communication, also to maintain confidentiality of work administered.

Ref. HRSS004057 | £20,485 - £22,534 pa | Full-time 35 hours per week Based within South Didcot Children's Centre you will work from a range of centres across Oxfordshire.
Accountable to the Children's Services Manager you will need to effectively lead and manage a team of Business Support Officers based within the East Oxfordshire Children's Centre cluster, ensuring the provision of a confidential, responsive, high quality and customer focused support service, ensuring workflow is managed in line with agreed processes. You will oversee the administrative support within the Cluster which will include supervision of Business Support staff ensuring systems are in place for the delivery of all key tasks. Support the CSM with effective planning to deliver project specific tasks, taking the lead with Health & Safety, understanding all systems, i.e. E-HR, E-Aspire, ELSI, Assess Net, Open Accounts & TM1 (these are Action for Children internal systems, prior knowledge or experience of using these systems is not required) and E Start Collating and monitoring requirements for local authority contract meetings. Take responsibility for ensuring information security and the archiving and storage of client records, Quarterly returns and risk assessments.
To succeed in this role you'll also need to have:
a thorough understanding of financial systems including budgeting, monitoring and reporting is essential in this role
experience of multi-functional administrative support
very good IT skills, especially in 'excel'
evidence of supervising staff
