One of CoreAssets clients has an exciting new opportunity in their Investment Management and Wealth sector for a Manager. This permanent opportunity is based in a global consultancy business in Edinburgh.
The focus of the role will be to support or lead on interesting projects where the candidate will help clients design, build and implement risk management and regulatory frameworks, in addition to helping the firm anticipate and understand the impacts of regulatory and policy change on their business.
The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the regulatory market, acting as an expert for clients and the business to safeguard them against an everchanging financial market.
Degree and / or relevant professional qualification, and significant relevant consulting and / or industry experience within the Investment Management & Wealth sector.
Proven track record in understanding and interpreting regulation within the Investment Management & Wealth sector.
Strong technical knowledge of the PRAs and FCAs regulatory frameworks as applied to the Investment Management & Wealth sector.
Knowledge of latest regulatory developments and key conduct issues facing regulated firms.
An understanding the impact of regulatory developments on clients and the delivery of client projects.
Ability to develop solutions and value adding propositions and taking these to market.
Experience of providing implementation and technical services where remediation is required.
Ability to identifying developing and converting sales opportunities through an extensive industry network.
Strong relationship management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work under own initiative.
Proactively working with new and existing clients to deliver high quality advice and output across a range of areas including (but not limited to) risk management and compliance operating models, the risk management and compliance transformation agenda, risk management and compliance frameworks (across a range of risk classes), processes and methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
To act as a subject matter expert in providing advice and supporting clients in implementing regulatory change initiatives.
Support the leadership and growth of the Investment Management & Wealth team by contributing to proposition and solution developments, and taking these to clients.
Supporting internal initiatives around practice management (account team meetings, staff development and internal training).
Leading several engagements simultaneously and managing client expectations.
Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; having a clear understanding of the firms commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.
