Job Title: Quantity Surveyor, UK Residential                       Department: Asset Management                                         Location: London Reporting to: Technical Head Key Contacts Internal: Asset Management team Key Contacts External: Solicitors, contractors, valuers, localauthorities, relevant client teams Project Overview:                         Resolutehas been engaged to execute the active asset management and subsequent disposalof large,high value, UK based residential portfolio. An opportunity has arisen for anenergetic, proactiveindividual to assist the Resolute team with the asset management process,carrying out targetedasset level value enhancement strategies over an initial 12-month period inwhich approximately400 assets are likely to be considered for disposal. Job Purpose:     =      Estimating residential refurbishment worksalongside the wider asset management team =      Evaluating quoted rates from externalcontractors, taking into consideration the key commercial drivers and riskprofiles of the Client =      Manage the appointment and management ofexternal contractors from initial tender through to completion of the works   Key Responsibilities: Pre-Contract a)       Maintaincontractor database b)      Prepareand issue contract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt c)       Completetender documents for submission d)      Preparespecifications and / or Contractors proposals e)      Posttender negotiations Post Contract a)       Maintaincontract documentation and advise on pre-tender and post contract matters b)      Preparationand issue of contractual letters to clients and / or contractors c)       Postcontract liaison with clients d)      Postcontract liaison with design team e)      Preparationand submission of interim valuations f)       Site measurement g)       Manageand value variations h)      Agreement and certification of contractors interim valuations and final accounts i)       Preparation and submission of final accounts j)       Agreement of final accounts   PERSON SPECIFICATION Experience/Skill/Qualifications:              Essential: =      Minimum 2:1 Undergraduate or Postgraduate degreein real estate or related field (Real Estate Management, Planning, BuildingSurveying), or relevant real estate experience =      3 years qualified =      Good working knowledge of forms of contract currentlyused within the Building and Civil Engineering industry =      Good working knowledge of standard forms ofmeasurement =      Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel,Powerpoint, Word and Outlook) =      Excellent verbal and written English skills =      Well-developed communication skills                                                Performance Characteristics: =      Analytical, numerate and accurate with goodattention to detail =      Energetic and self-motivated, with an ability towork independently and use own initiative =      Flexible, adaptable and resilient
