Job Description The senior PR strategist is the day-to-day senior account contact for the client and the team. Primary responsibilities are to develop and implement PR strategies, provide support for the overall team and deliver monthly reporting for campaigns. With a proven track record of successful media relations campaigns, the senior strategist has a good understanding of how PR can deliver against business objectives and is able to create campaigns that work commercially as well as creatively. Reporting to head of PR, a successful senior strategist will have minimal guidance on day-to-day activities and will be relied upon to successfully deliver results and maintain strong client relationships. Day-to-dayLeads on around five clients, with a focus on medium budgets.Leads on client and internal communications where necessary.Responsible for organisation and time-planning for campaigns that youare leading on.Inspiring, guiding and supporting junior members of the team.Ensuring progress of campaigns against deadlines and internalbenchmarking, escalating/getting involved where necessary.Campaign management (campaign planning, idea generation, promotion).Tracking client performance and reporting on this.In the absence of the Campaign Manager, you are able to step in andoversee the management of campaigns and clients.Writing professional reports and documenting campaigns for clients.Working to set targets, deadlines and KPIs.Involvement in developing new business proposals and strategies.Identifying new business opportunities via existing clients and workingwith PR team and wider business to pursue these opportunities.Working with senior team members to challenge and evolve working practices and our PR offering on an ongoing basis in-line with the ever-changing world of digital marketing, PR, the media and our clients respective industries. Knowledge and ExperienceStrong understanding of media themes and able to identify content andstories that journalists will be interested in.Write client-friendly content to a level where amends are not necessary and proof other team members work. Ability to create meeting slides in line with company standards andattend client meetings to confidently present your strategies and deal withclient queries and feedback.Ability to review all campaigns at all stages to ensure output has thehighest chance of acquiring strong results.Ability to escalate campaigns that are underperforming across allclients and subsequent contingency planning.Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Understand common SEO metrics e.g. DA, Trust Flow, Traffic etc.Experience of industry SEO tools and applications e.g. Google Analytics.Knowledge of Google guidelines and algorithm updates.Good understanding of link strategies and principles of obtaining links.In-depth understanding of the Technical, Content and Outreach teams andother departments within the company.Proactively keeps up to date with news and trends within the industry. AdministrationFull working knowledge of all in-house admin systems including PeopleHR,Time Tracker and Task Manager and ability to update all with no reminders frommanagement.Ability to mentor and train new starters on all relevant in-house adminsystems.
