About the job
Our client is a manufacturing business based near Peterborough. They have been through a period pf positive change over the last few months and the FD is seeking to appoint a solid interim Financial Controller or Finance Manager to work for them to bring some stability back into the department.
The main duties are as follows:
Ensure that the monthly accounts are completed correctly and within agreed deadlines
Pull apart all current processes, sitting down with each member of the finance team to understand what they currently do in their role as well as how they do this. You will then need to review and look at how the processes can work in a more effective way, bringing more structure to current ways of working.
Assist the FD to migrate to a new ERP system as well as changes in how the business / finance processes are managed
Get to know the team to assist to coach and mentor them throughout this positive change
You will ideally be a fully Qualified finance professional with experience of working within a manufacturing, FMCG or Retail organisation. It would also be highly beneficial if you have a good working knowledge of stock management. You will be a positive individual who is used to working in smaller medium sized organisations where you are required to do any task that is thrown your way with a smile on your face and a positive attitude.
