ROLE OVERVIEW: This is an exciting, varied and challenging recruitment role working in a small team reporting into the Head of recruitment, as part of the wider HR team. You will be required to support the delivery of permanent resourcing activities for Northgate Public Services, ensuring that a high quality recruitment experience is delivered to internal managers and candidates. You will also be required to liaise with the business around the future requirements, succession planning and resource allocation depending on project volumes and time-scales.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Continually support the delivery of resourcing strategies to managers across all areas of Northgate Public Services. This being predominantly external recruitment, but also succession planning and utilisation of internal resources depending on project activities.Supporting hiring managers in recruitment best practice and providing hands on support during the recruitment process. Advising on attraction methods advertising and interviewing.Managing a personal case-load of between 30-60 vacancies concurrentlyManaging end to end recruitment processes including contract generation.Posting vacancies to careers pages of the intranet, internet and 3rd party job boardsSupport the development of a 'positive resourcing experience' for all involved parties.Working with key PSL agencies as requiredSupport managers in interviews and assessments as required.To support the development of direct sourcing techniques to attract candidates to opportunities.(LinkedIn & other social media)Work closely with the HRBP’s to support managers with their recruitment plans and strategy.Regular meeting attendance both in person and by conference call to discuss and track the progress of specific recruitment projects.Support colleagues in the recruitment team and cover absence and holidayAttend regular meetings with the wider HR team as well as frequent update meetings with the recruitment team.Maintain good data integrity and administration tracking throughout the recruitmentprocess, supporting the new implementation of Smart Recruiters system.Take ownership of raising purchasing orders as required for agency hires. Liaising with the purchasing team as required over PO issues.Travel to other NPS UK Ltd sites as required for meetings/interviews. (Nottingham, Bracknell, Hartlepool).Qualifications
Solid recruitment background. Ideally both agency and in house experience, volumerecruitment experience would be beneficialCompetent web searching skills across multiple sites such as Monster, Jobsite etc. In particular Boolean searching.Experience of managing relatively high volume recruitment (over 40 roles at a time).Confident customer facing skills & presenting skills to a varied audience.Providing guidance and coaching to line managers on day-to-day recruitment matters and oftenenforcing best practice processes.Experience of the full recruitment life cycle.Good understanding/appreciation of recruitment within the context of employment law and best practice.Experience of conducting competency based interviews.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with the business at all levels and build strong working relationships.Previous experience of working with a recruitment system.Contract generationExperience of working in an environment with multiple contractsUnderstanding UK Recruitment Legislation Generalist HR experience or experience of working within a HR function would be a big advantageBe able to travel to offices on a regular basis
