About the job
We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and passionate chef to be a part of a huge company which prides itself on being the heart of West Sussex. You will be working with a talented kitchen team, to learn quality recipes and skills, as well as, assisting a variety of departments, while having the unique opportunity of using award winning meat and produce fresh from their very own farm. There will be great training provided from the beginning which covers inhouse butchery and cheese making facilities.
Consistently delivery dishes to a high standard
Help monitor food costs percentages and managing budgets
Support new staff members and be actively involved in their training process
Develop relationships with different kitchen departments
Support the development of new menus
Maintain high hygiene standards
Be able to run the kitchen in a professional manner in the absence of the Head Chef or Senior Sous/ Sous.
What you will need:
COSHH, Food Hygiene and First Aid Training
High level knowledge of ingredients, wines, spirits and food service.
Cost management and planning skills
Good negotiation and influencing skills
A competitive salary of £23,000 per annum is offered and shift patterns consist of four days on three days off.
