We are looking for Finance Officers to work with us on one of the biggest transformation digital programmes in Europe.

In BPDTS Ltd youll join a new organisation with a unique set of challenges for finance professionals. This is a real opportunity for the right person to shape and define this role

You will be part of an organisation responsible for the delivery of digital platforms and services, realtime analytics and flexible infrastructure, providing secure and resilient services to DWP, with the power to make a difference to the lives of 22 million UK citizens.

You and your role

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will support the Finance Manager with day to day running, with tasks including monthend activity, analysing financial data, provision of monthend accounts, invoice processing, liasing with contractor providers and lots more.

In this role youll support and provide wider cover to the finance office but we are primarlily looking for someone to support our workforce planning. So an analytic mind to tell us whether data is sound and to produce one version of the truth is important. Ideally youd have worked around workforce planning previously, and youll be great with excel.

You should have worked in finance before, for example you may be a part qualified accountant. And an accountancy qualification is desirable (but not essential; equivalent experience is just as valuable.

What are we looking for?

High level of numeracy, including proficiency in Excel

Proven experience of applying an appreciation of the critical importance of key concepts in planning and reporting, including, for example, consistency of data definitions, effective change control, relating inputs to outputs and materiality.

Proven ability to build great relationships with the business and other key stakeholders

Ability to prioritise workload and manage strict deadlines

High level of interpersonal skills and ability to influence a range of stakeholders

Aptitude for detail, whilst still having the capacity to keep sight of the bigger picture
