Inventory Controller Welshpool Circa£19,500 plus benefits

To execute inventory control measures to minimise stock holding, maximise the stock system and ensure paperwork accuracy. Be responsible for working with purchasing, goods inwards and dispatch colleagues to ensure the role is carried out
Job role / duties
•Develop the Site Inventory Management plan with the aim of: controlling costs within budgetary limits; generating savings; rationalising inventory; maximizing available working capital. •Manage and maintain the company's material and stocked product inventory including customer returns, stock profiles and stock locations •Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks •Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital •Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure. •Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required. •Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions. •Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes. •Perform cyclic stock checks •Investigate, correct and report on stock discrepancies •Check and adjust shop floor data collection data •Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system •Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved. •Supply year-end audit information for internal and external audits.
To be considered for this role you MUST:
•Have experience in inventory management/purchasing •Possess understanding of MRP and inventory control / management systems and ERP •Be experienced in lean manufacture/continuous improvement within a manufacturing •Have a FLT/Side loader license ideally •Possess strong IT Skills including SAP (essential), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MRP •Be capable of people development •Be customer driven •Possess excellent Communication skills, both written and oral •Have strong analytical and problem solving skills. •Be highly organised •Be numerate and methodical •Can prioritise workload
