The Transport Coordinator will work in a small team as part of the Operations department and is responsible for arranging the global logistics of products.

Strong team ethos, all members of staff are required to have a flexible approach to their work and assist in other areas of the business as and when required.


Responsible for booking transport for UK/European/ROW shipments
Responsible for arranging imports and exports from US & ROW, while creating Customs Invoices and other shipping documentation as required
Obtaining transportation quotations for sales team and other departments as and when required
Assisting with delivery queries and complaints
Responsible for arranging container exports to Singapore and other global sites as required
Supporting the process of signing off transport invoices and dealing with any queries that may arise
Supporting the process of completing end of month duties and reports in time while ensuring KPI targets, budgets and Operational objectives are met.
Assisting with OTIF reporting on LB and our global sites for where UK invoices the customer
Assisting with yearly transport tenders for UK/European/ROW
Liaising with Chamber of commerce for advice and support when necessary
Creating on-line shipping documents when required
Booking of courier consignments either by phone or on line

Assists in providing all necessary info for ISO auditors
Actively supports Quality Objectives and contributes to Quality Management System activities as assigned.
Performs other duties and work on special projects as required or assigned by the Transport Manager


2 years+ experience in a logistics/transport fast-paced, high turnover environment
Relationship building skills caring for the customer, company and team

Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Must be proficient with Microsoft office, particularly excel.
Good Knowledge and experience of SAP or similar ERP desired.
Excellent analytical, organizational and negotiation skills.
Confident communication skills essential
Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes.
Must have excellent verbal, written, maths and presentation skills, with great attention to detail.
Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with all company personnel under minimum supervision and be responsive to the requirements of department members and other departments with whom interaction is necessary.
Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
