About the job

Our client is a specialist sub contractor who work with house builders supplying and installing a specialist timber framing system

Reporting to the Construction Director you will be responsible for overseeing new build projects in the Northamptonshire area

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date operational records are completed to enable the Operations Manager to schedule projects accordingly and to keep a history of the project.
  • Measure project installation performance/ progress using appropriate tools, prepare detailed reports and escalate issues that cannot be managed by you, to management/ other departments as required
  • Supervise the installation team and give guidance where needed. Ensure that all contractors working on behalf of the company have access to all Company Policy & Procedure Documentation
  • Where required collaborate with other departments to ensure project specification is correct and Provide expert advice to colleagues on any issues that may arise
  • Ensure you have all the ancillaries required to complete an installation and pursue deliveries where required
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements/ scope
  • Ensure full compliance with Company health, safety, security and environmental standards
  • Working hard to reach resolutions and agreements with customers and suppliers
  • Negotiating and managing external and internal procurement and contracting arrangements
  • Identify procurement opportunities and ensuring these opportunities are evaluated and progressed
  • Contributing to the business development of the company and safeguarding the company interests
  • Making sure that all procurement and contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation & company policy
  • Monitoring the performance of contractors working on behalf of the company
    Supporting senior managers in the development of risk and policy documentation
  • Conducting investigations into any technical queries or contractual disputes
  • Continuously monitor contract activities, budgets & performance also providing forecasts
  • Keeping abreast of new legislation, government policy and best practice

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a Site Manager or an Assistant Site Manager for a house builder and you will possess a CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
