IT Support Engineer
£30,000 - £35,000
An entrepreneurial investment firm with offices based in the City are growing at a rapid pace and are looking for a Support Engineer to join their expanding team. An exciting opportunity to join the business in this exciting period of development as they continue to go from strength to strength.
An exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced IT professional with knowledge of 1
st and 2
nd line support to join a fast paced and expanding team.
Dealing with all first line and second line technical queries in a busy environment
Managing queries from first call to successful resolution
First point of contact for user requests - logged in person, ticketing or via telephone. Logging cases and adhering to agreed SLA’s
Monitoring ticket progression and ensuring users are kept informed
Placing orders for hardware and software
Identifying high priority faults and alerting the relevant team member
Monitoring and responding to alerts raised by the network monitoring system
User and group administration in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
Hardware and software fault diagnosis
DHCP, DNS and IP addressing
OS Image Deployment
Supporting other engineers on projects
Proven experience of 1
nd line support in a corporate office environment
Degree educated or equivalent industry qualification
In depth knowledge of: Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint
Able to provide an excellent level of customer service to users
Driven and ambitious with a desire to independently develop your skills
Self-starter with plenty of initiative and motivated to succeed and meet targets
Ability to work independently and manage own workload autonomously
Eager to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Excellent communicator who can explain complex things in simple, relevant terms
Passionate about what they do with a flexible approach
Creative problem solver who can think outside the box
