About the job

Looking for QA engineering jobs in London, and interested in working for a revolutionary ticketing app? One of the UK's largest fan-to-fan ticketing platforms are now on the lookout for a technical QA Engineer to join their fast-growing team – could it be you?

Company profile

In this QA Engineer job, you will be joining a cutting-edge start-up based in Central London. They are revolutionising the ticketing industry by providing users with a fair platform to trade unwanted tickets for events and gigs. With mobile apps on all three platforms, and a sizeable list of exciting projects with well-known industry figures in the pipeline, this is an excellent opportunity for a graduate interested in the music industry, to kick-start their career in mobile app development.

Job description

In this QA Engineer job, you will be putting your HTML, CSS and Javascript skills to the test, joining a growing tech startup who currently do a combination of testing by hand and automated testing using BDD methodology. You will be working closely with the product owner throughout the process, ensuring that you understand the stories being developed, and helping to define acceptance criteria - then testing each story as soon as is has come out of code review, and completing final product testing once all stories in the sprint are complete. You will need to have some previous testing experience, as well as an adaptable and ambitious approach, as when you are not actively testing new features, you will be working on improving and extending the application's automated test suite, implementing new tests, and helping to assure the quality of the product.

Key responsibilities

In this QA Engineer job, your responsibilities will include:

Managing the testing process – including writing, executive and maintaining test cases
Functional and exploratory testing
Continuous integration
Using version control systems, including Git
Getting involved in the Agile process

So, what are we looking for?

At least a 2.1 from a good university
Ideally, 1 years' industry experience
Proficient in HTML, CSS and Javascript
Knowledge of SQL databases
The ability to perform integration testing – you'll be testing mobile applications
BDD using Cucumber / Gherkin

What else is on offer?

An excellent starting basic salary of between 25,000 - 35,000, depending on experience
Opportunity for remote working
Awesome offices in the very heart of Central London, just off Oxford Street
Lots of free gig & event tickets
Free kitchen with breakfast, fruit and a beer fridge
