Job PurposeAucerna Regimes is a global library of fiscal research and economic models. The Fiscal Regimes team researches global fiscal terms for oil and gas projects, writes reports summarising the terms and builds models in excel and our proprietary modelling format.As a Fiscal Regimes Consultant you will be responsible for this research and modelling. You therefore need a strong technical base in order to build logical models, along with good communication skills.The Fiscal Regimes Consultant will also work on support & consulting projects as required for our clients. Initially these opportunities will be office-based but more experienced candidates will have the opportunity to travel to our client sites around the world.Key ResponsibilitiesOverall duties will include but not be restricted to:· The Regime Library· Continual maintenance of the fiscal regimes· Updating the fiscal regimes in accordance with published fiscal changes· Solid, detailed documentation based on multiple references· Development of models using Excel and our Aucerna modelling tools· Seeking innovative quality and process improvements across the library· Software Implementations: Working with our senior consultants on software implementation and pilots· Bespoke modelling· Software configuration and delivery· Consulting/Solutions: Work with our senior consultants on all client projects· Performing commercial and strategic analysis on upstream oil and gas portfolios· Converting real contracts into fiscal models· Ensuring that client projects are running to time and that clients have a high level of satisfaction· Involvement in client liaison and presentations- Working on client sites and providing our clients with high standards of serviceQualifications
· Working knowledge of Economic and Financial Modelling.· Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, Software Experience or familiarity with the upstream planning space preferable.· Programming knowledge would be an advantage.· Ability to communicate effectively in English.· Graduate applications welcome.
