We are a specialist CQC rated OUTSTANDING Care Centre for complex neuro-disabilities based in the heart of Purley, Croydon.
A little about the role…
Due to expansion you will join an in-house multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Music Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Respiratory Consultant Nurses and Neurological Rehabilitation Consultants, who work together to support adult neuro-disabilities, ensuring their care is truly person centred based on biopsychosocial framework.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic HCPC registered specialist Neuro-Physiotherapist (Band 5/6), to work with our patients, and be a clinical educator and supervisor for our junior therapists and therapy assistants.
The ideal candidate should have extensive clinical skills to manage patients with 'disorder of consciousness' and other neurological conditions including long-term management of SCI. Extensive knowledge in spasticity management and slow-stream rehabilitation are necessary. You also must also have excellent communication skills, in-order to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
You must have at least 2 years’ UK experience in a Neuro setting to offer comprehensive neurological assessments, provide tailored intervention to achieve patients’ short and long-term goals and be able to measure them by appropriate valid outcome tools.
Experience in neuro-respiratory conditions including mechanical ventilation and tracheostomies is desirable.
A little about the hours…
The normal working week is Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 17.00 and an early finish on Fridays. The total hours each week is 38, with paid breaks.
Rota-based working on Saturday will be required, once a month.
