SCAS is proud to be recruiting into a new, entry level position of Service Advisor within its 111 & Integrated Urgent Care Service.
As a 111 Service Advisor you will answer selected calls from patients and healthcare professionals, recording information in computer systems and following the agreed SCAS & NHS Pathways policies, protocols and standards to signpost patients to the appropriate care. You may also be required to undertake basic administrative duties.
Joining this friendly and dynamic team, you will be fully supported with an induction and training programme. Once established in the role you will have the opportunity to undertake the full NHS Pathways training course on a modular basis with the opportunity to then progress to Band 3 Health Advisor level.
To become a Service Advisor you do not need previous experience in healthcare but you do need to be able to demonstrate the following:
Able to work a 4 week rotating rota incorporating day and evening shifts (4 6 hours duration)
Able to work 2 out of 3 weekends, with some evenings during the week.
Able to work 6 out of 8 Bank Holidays, in particular over Christmas and Easter.
Able to build rapport with people over the telephone
Skilled in the use of a keyboard/computer
Calm under pressure and demonstrate personal resilience
Motivated & keen
This is a parttime role with 12 or 18 hour per week contracts. If you are successful you will be required to attend a one week full time training course.
