Service Transition Manager (12 Months FTC)
£65,000 Base salary + Benefits
Mon-friday based in London
My client is a global outfit with over 500 staff in the UK and across the globe, operating in over 50 different countries. They are currently initiating a propoal to outsource their 1st line service desk to a third party. The existing service desk is at a low stage of maturity with a need to increase the rating from a 1.5 star to atleast a 3 star rating.
As a result the client in question are looking to appoint an experienced Service Transition Manager for a 1 year fixed term with previous success of transitioning a company's service desk to an outsourced party.
The successful Service Transition manager will be responsible for the following;
- Steady the ship of the service desk
- Create a tender document for the contract between the orgaisation and the successful third party.
- Manage the tender
- Manage the transition from where the organisation are now to the new model.
- Manage the uncertainty and people and gain buy in from staff across the IT department.
The successful Transition manager will require the following;
Service Transition Experience (3-5 years)
ITIL v3 Intermediate / ITILv3 Expert
Prince 2 Certified
Experience of managing a small support team
Understanding / experience of change management
