Religious Education Teacher; January 2019; Lewisham School.
The school is located within Lewisham South East London and has fantastic transport links. Students at the school are from different religious backgrounds; therefore, educating pupils about different religious faiths sits highly on the Schools agenda. This maintains the importance of diversity in the school and ensures that all students and staff are treated equally. Furthermore, the school prides itself on working with individuals in the community and providing great education for the Secondary School students.
Responsibilities for this Key Stage 3 and 4 Religious Education Teacher Role include
You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to the highest standard so pupils feel motivated and inspired by the subject. We want you to provide a nurturing classroom environment that helps the pupils grow as learners. You will contribute to developing your department and ensuring that as a team, you are committed to raising achievement.
The school adopts a policy of supportive rigour when developing the students academic and extracurricular performance. Small class sizes mean that teachers have the opportunity to pay close attention to their pupils and develop each child.
The ideal candidate for this Key Stage 3 and 4 Religious Education Teacher role will:
be experienced and/or qualified to teach the subject successfully at Key Stage 3 and 4 be empathetic to the students and contribute to the schools friendly, enthusiastic atmosphere.
be familiar with the national curriculum and assessment methodology A sense of warmth and having a caring outlook.
