Pin Point Health & Social Care are recruiting for a permanent Support Worker in Corbridge on a full time basis to work in services with young adults (16-25) who have Learning Disabilities.
You will be supporting young adults by promoting, supporting and challenging them to make progress and achieve their fullest potential.
? Support with independent living and functional skills development
? Provide guidance, support and encouragement to young people
? Keep accurate written records/reports as required.
? Be a key worker for one or more young people as required.
? Support young people towards managing their own behaviour
? Assist with medical needs which may include the administration of medication.
? Support with personal care at times, following individual care plans.
The service is currently rated overall "Good" by CQC and due to this being a college and a supported living service, some sleep over shifts will be required.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within care and support or within Special Education Need environments who are looking for a step into residential support. As a Support Worker, it is important to be highly motivated and passionate about providing person centred support to make a difference to others.
? Experience working with Learning Difficulties, Autism, Complex Needs
? Ability to manage challenging behaviour
? Dedication to personal development
? Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
? Excellent Communication skills
? IT Literate
? Driving License is desirable due to local of the service
