The Science Faculty invites applications for full-time studentships; projects are available in the following general areas: - Anthropogenic Impact and Environmental Sustainability - Biogeochemistry - Dynamic EarthFunding is from a range of sources but is mainly through the UK research councils; sources include the Central England NERC Training Alliance (CENTA) of which The Open University is one of five university partners. For research council studentships, only UK and EU citizens or those who have ordinarily been resident in the UK throughout the preceding 3 years are eligible for full funding.The three-year research studentships provide a maintenance grant of £13,863 per year (2014 rate) and all academic fees are covered. For research council studentships there is an additional ~6 months of funding available.
