About the job
Working within the central helpdesk team of a busy IT and Customer Services Department, you will be providing general telephone support including 1st Line Support (Hardware & Software).
Responsibilities will include providing a high level of Customer Services including call logging / basic troubleshooting remote fixes and escalating more complex issues to the 2nd line support team. Call numbers are around 35 per day with a 60% first time fix rate.
This is an ideal position for someone who has come from either an IT support background or has an IT qualification who is looking to progress their career within an IT environment. For this role you need to have basic computer / IT skills but full training will be provided on the IT systems.
There are 2 shift patterns available:
Monday to Friday (between the hours of 07:30 21:00) and 1 in 2 Saturdays (37.5 hours per week).
Monday to Friday (between the hours of 08:00 18:00 (37.5 hours per week)
This position is to start ASAP and has the potential to become a long term / perm role for the right candidate. This position will pay £10.25 + holiday pay (PAYE) or £13.25 (Ltd / Umbrella) per hour.
