Training Officer - FMCG / Food production
To £30,000 plus company benefits
My client is a global foods producer with a reputation for quality & innovation and due to expansion they are recruiting for Training Officers to join their team. The main objective will be to assist with developing, delivering & implementing procedures & guidelines to meet training objectives.
Job role / duties
•Ensure employees are trained in HACCP, BRC and AIB requirements.
•Liaise with the Operations Managers to identify short/medium/long term training needs
•Develop and prioritise training plans
•Arrange, deliver group and one to one training solutions to new and existing colleagues
•Identify and use accelerated learning techniques in order to maximise learning
•Co-ordinate cross shift training programmes and interventions
•Keep training records up to date and consistent.
•Manage and maintain the training programme calendar
•Provide the necessary information to ensure training plans are reflected in the budget.
•Ensure employee training records are accurately maintained and all statutory and refresher
•Prepare regular reports as required
•Be flexible in the approach to work, undertaking any other duties as required by the needs of the business and commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience and role level.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
•Relevant training qualification
•Basic Food Safety HACCP Level 2 or higher
•Excellent knowledge of learning techniques and learning styles
•CIPD qualified or studying towards
•H&S systems and legislation knowledge e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH
•Intermediate Food Safety HACCP Level 3 or higher.
•Train the Trainer certification
•2 plus years' experience in training role within a food/manufacturing/FMCG
•Demonstrable experience of designing SOPs and risk assessments
•Coaching and mentoring skills, training and coaching others to create a learning environment
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
•The ability to prepare and present statistical reports and budget information
•Experience of leading a team within an operational
