be a part of shaping the direction of analytics at the company
design, build and deploy new ETL solutions in line with stakeholder specifications
work to improve their ETL process and analytics infrastructure, so it is scalable for future statistical and bigdata projects
contribute to improving the companys knowledge of Data Engineering practices
maintain the existing ETL suite, ensuring data is handled efficiently and new features are released seamlessly
collaborate with both staff and customers who require assistance with data requests
handson experience in developing ETL solutions (e.g. Talend, Alteryx)
previously designed, built and maintained scalable data pipelines
commercial experience with coding (e.g. Python, R, Java)
knowledge of current big data technologies
demonstrable understanding of SQL and relational databases
knowledge of source control software (e.g. Git)
experience with shell scripting languages (e.g. Bash)
Additionally, the following would be advantageous:
familiarity with machine learning
exposure to agile methodologies, preferably scrum
you have strong mathematical skills
you have an analytical mind with the ability to learn fast
youre adaptable and willing to facilitate continuous improvement
youre a true team player with excellent communication skills
you have excellent prioritisation and selforganisation skills
