Working as a part of a team of 4 the role will include successful workflows, adapting to changing conditions, and develop new equipment, procedures and ways of working to increase efficiency in all operations which increases productivity, delivery, quality and safety in hanger environment.Energetic and enthusiastic leader of people with a good sense of commercial prioritiesUnderstanding ‘change management’Motivated to identify and deliver improvements in the efficiencies and bottom line of the businessAnalytical thinking to introduce new innovationHas demonstrated clear understanding of productivity and cost driversHas demonstrated effective implementation of productivity quality and safety improvement initiatives.An understanding of structured quality and safety problem solving (such as “8D”)An understanding and practical implementation of “lean manufacturing” principles.Previous experience delivering process engineering in medium or low volume manufacturing/ MRO environmentsExperience of collaborative working within teams in a manufacturing or MRO environmentDemonstrated understanding that ERP and physical processes need to be considered together.Qualifications
Graduate or apprentice level trained engineer.
Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
