Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within an adults mental health team in St Helens. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £20.28 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3month contract.
The Service is made up of the following Service Manager, Team Manager, 3 Assistant Team Managers (one of which is the Lead AMHP). The team has 13 Qualified Social Workers, 3 Assessment and Review workers and 1 fulltime admin post. The team is very busy and carries a lot of complex work including the Councils statutory responsibilities for the Mental Health Act. A number of the Social Workers on the team are also qualified AMHPs. There is a rota in place for other roles and responsibilities such as office duty, safeguarding, paper days, allocations and back up AMHP support. The team has a wealth of experience and is very supportive of each other.
Requirements of the social worker:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current HCPC registration
Significant senior level frontline experience within adult services
Experience of mental health and or learning disability and physical and sensory disability.
Understanding of the management of risk and risk assessment is a vital requirement
Understanding and experience of safeguarding is very important
