Staffordshire University are seeking dynamic individuals who will be instrumental to the delivery of a highly ambitious, multi-million Master Plan for the transformation of Staffordshire University's estate.
As a Project Manager you will have a significant role in the development and delivery of discrete projects as part of the 2##### ######capital development programme. You will be a key part of the communication process between Stakeholders, the Design Teams and Contractors. You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of diverse capital projects: initial assessment, options development, business case approval process, design, tender, construction and post completion project close-out. You will champion quality, legal compliance, environmental, safety and technical standards. Naturally, you'll also ensure robust budget management. We'll look to you for skills in managing multiple stakeholders and delivering high quality refurbishments predominantly in the range of £50K-£5M. To shape our future, you will need extensive experience of delivering a range of refurbishment construction projects, within either the higher education or private sector.
For this post, you should hold a degree or professional qualification such as Surveying, Building Engineering or Architecture and have experience of managing projects in the region of £5M.
Both project manager posts will require demonstrable working knowledge of contract procurement, resource planning, current issues affecting construction projects, construction legislation, health and safety, KPIs, budget management and a good grasp of technical building analysis.
With an eye for detail, you will be an excellent communicator and customer focussed, bringing to the role excellent relationship building, influencing skills and a desire to see improvement in the student experience.
Although you'll be based at the Stoke Campus, willingness to travel between our other campuses at Shrewsbury, Lichfield and Stafford is essential.
