A Level Biology Tutor
– Chobham GU24 8..Bright, hardworking A level Biology Student needs help
securing the high grade she deserves. 1.5 hr sessions sought once per week on Monday evening. Could also do Weds or Thurs.
Chemistry Tutor for
International Baccalaureate – Ascot SL5 9..IB student needs help
securing highest grade in Chemistry to be able to attend Imperial College and
study Chemical Engineering. One x 2 hr
session per week required Mon – Fri evening or Saturday from 11am.
GCSE Science Tutor needed in Farnborough GU14 7..1.5 hrs per week tutoring
sought for student who “doesn’t believe they can do Science”. Has improved from Foundation paper to
combined Science but understanding is still weak.Tutoring requested Tues –
Fri from 6.30pm for 1.5 hrs per week.

Tutoring Primary, GCSE and A-level science subjects
to local students, tutoring takes place in the student’s
home, in-school or online (examples shown above, but we need tutors all
over Surrey in the busiest start yet to the academic exam season!). You will get to know the student
and their family, build a plan with them, and deliver effective tutoring
sessions for around an hour and a half - usually once a week. The work is
interesting and varied, and while you will develop your own approach, a typical
Tutor Doctor tutoring session can involve:Catching-up on
progress, reviewing any homework you have setDiscussing
classwork and school homeworkExploring new
topics covered in the class or needing attentionPractising
topics already prioritisedBuilding and
adapting the plan of action to meet academic goalsPlanning
revisionPractising exam
techniques
Location

Tutoring takes place in the student's
home (which could be anywhere in Surrey), or in their school, or online (we have a dedicated browser-based online-tutoring platform - no software required).

Note: all
tutoring is one-to-one
