A specialist SEN school in Southwark that caters for children with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) is seeking to appoint an additional SEN Teacher/SEN TA to cover PPA on a full time basis.

This is an unusual position as it involves working as a teacher 12 days a week covering PPA sessions for other members of staff. The other 34 days a week you would be working as a TA supporting in classes under the direction of the class teacher. The role will involve marking on the teaching days and full TA duties including supporting a swimming session once a week.

This is an ideal position for an overseas trained primary/SEN teacher who is seeking to build up the curriculum knowledge to step up into a full class teaching role here in the UK as all lessons will be planned and there is lots of support available. This school is easily accessible from most areas of London as it is in the heart of Southwark near to London Bridge.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with good recent SEN teaching experience, in a mainstream or special UK school. They want someone who is adaptable and willing to work across the ability and need ranges in the school. The school is a friendly, safe, positive and structured environment in which every child is respected and encouraged.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of this outstanding schools continued development where you will be working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal Teaching and Support staff to improve learning outcomes for all pupils.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mainstream overseas trained teacher seeking to make the move into teaching in an SEN environment or for an experienced mainstream teacher who wants to experience a new teaching environment, develop skills with different learning needs and classes without the stress of planning!

Apply today to avoid disappointment!
