Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated team manager to work full time within a childrens team based in Merthyr Tydfil. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in childrens services and be registered with the CCW.
The pay rate for this locum team manager job is £42 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 4month contract.
Supervise and manage a team of Social Workers whose core duties are the assessment of the needs of children and families and determine appropriate methods of intervention in line with statutory guidance including child protection, cared for children and care proceedings.
Supervise and manage a team of Social Workers to devise written plans for intervention for children and their families, including Child Protection Plans to ensure focused social work interventions and the management of risk to children.
Manage the Social Work Team, prioritise and allocate tasks, provide guidance, direction, motivation and support to ensure effective services to children and their families.
Provide professional supervision to social workers and childrens practitioners to ensure accountability for social work practice and assist with the professional development of staff
Manage budgets for the commissioning of services and authorise cash payments to families in line with Financial Regulations to ensure value for money and appropriate
Requirements of the team manager:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current CCW registration
Significant senior level frontline experience within childrens services
3 years minimum experience
Must be a car driver
