Do you have experience as a Commercial Account Handler?

We have a new opening for a Commercial Account Handler role within Alcester, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to join an award winning team at an independent chartered insurance brokers based in Alcester, Warwickshire.

This position will consist of offering a comprehensive insurance service to existing and potential new customers. This will involve providing quotations on all types of Commercial Insurance, via the telephone, face to face or in writing, placing cover when instructed, inviting and confirming renewals and dealing with midterm adjustments.

Day to Day Duties

You will be providing new business quotations
Taking details from new clients, ensuring all information is correct.
Taking details from existing customers in respect of any alterations.
Offering renewal of existing clients policies with current insurer or move to new insurer, as appropriate.
Checking thoroughly all client documentation before despatch, ensuring queries are raised and amendments completed.
Managing your own diary system, ensuring all items are followed up by the due dates.
Maintaining clients records on the database.
Discussing any risk management advice and risk prevention information.
Assisting when required, with the Accounts function of the business in carrying out credit control with relevant customers.
To accompany Account Executives on client visits when required.

Essential Skills

A minimum of 3 years experience in an Account Handler role
Cert CII qualified.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
Good teamplayer.
