Here at Pulse, we are now recruiting to an opportunity available for a Clinical Psychologist to join our clients NHS trust based in Surrey. This is a full-time role available to start as soon as possible, for an initial 5-month period.The aim of this role is to provide a specialist clinical psychological service to older adults who are at a stage of acute mental ill-health with the purpose of equipping them with skills and support to enable a successful return to their homes in the community.Other main duties will include: • To be responsible for the systematic provision of specialist psychology services to older people with long term and acute conditions (with or without dementia).• To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice. • To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking audit, research and service development activities relevant to the service area.
