Reference: A4541Description: The School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences invites you to apply for a Lectureship in Human Geography at Plymouth University. This is a permanent post.
Geography at Plymouth is a large and successful subject area, comprising 24 full-time academic staff, and enjoying excellent support from well-resourced laboratory facilities in geospatial analysis and physical geography. As well as breadth and depth in Geography, we have strong academic links across the institution with, for example, the University's Marine Institute and the cross-disciplinary Sustainable Earth Institute.
You will have a track record of excellent research, commensurate with the level of appointment. You will be an enthusiastic team player, and your enthusiasm for your subject will extend to providing excellent teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, informed by rigorous scholarship and your own research experience. You will benefit from a positive and collegiate working environment that values and promotes excellence in all academic activities.
Candidates with expertise in any area of human geography are encouraged to apply, but interests in environmental / political / social / urban geography are particularly welcome.

This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
