Cover Genius are seeking a dynamic, driven Client Solutions Engineer to manage technical relationships with a select client portfolio in the Americas and work with the sales team to identify business opportunities and solve partner business problems. You’ll report to the EVP of the Americas and get the opportunity to work closely with the sales and product teams to co-design solutions, collect requirements and provide guidance and best practices to apply our products to achieve our partner’s business goals. The role presents significant opportunities for the right candidate, given Cover Genius’ global recognition, excellent track record and hockey stick growth. We are looking for self-starters that are passionate about new technology and innovation, that have a “can do” attitude and who work well within startup environments where needs and roles can change quickly. Needless to say, we are not your average insurance company!What will you be doing?You will be the a key person throughout the sales cycle operating as the conduit between commercial and technicalManaging multiple internal and external stakeholdersSoftware engineering and not only formulating POC’s but assisting in turning them into a tangible solution for clientsBeing the person who can translate technical jargon into commercial discussionA key figure in identifying product development timelines and success metricsAll facets of technical pre-sales activity from relationship management, documentation creation, engineering, planningQualifications

What do we think the ideal skill-set looks like?BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Extensive programming experience in Python, Java, or PHP.Extensive experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, XML, etc.Customer-facing experience in sales, sales engineering, consulting or related function.Strong strategic, analytical and tactical skills; must be able to create plans then roll up your sleeves and get things doneExperience in managing technically complex products in a B2B technology environmentProven ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writingExpert level stakeholder management skills at all levels of businessExcellent presentation and organisational skillsExperience in insurance products and/or B2B e-commerce marketing experienceNice to haveMaster’s degree or PhD in related field
