About the job

Are you an experienced Team Leader or Senior Support Worker whos passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities? Were recruiting for a Team Leader who will plan and organise the delivery of support and care to people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Aspergers and complex needs living in Supported Living. The Team Leader Role

This is a unique service, compromising of a number of supported living properties on a large site, community facilities offering daytime activities, employment and education opportunities.

As the Team Leader you will have responsibility for the day to day running of between 13 Supported Living Houses, supporting the staff teams within to deliver the best care and support possible, ensuring that people fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion and control.

The Team Leaders responsibilities include;

Plan and organise the delivery of care and support by your team, ensuring that there are up to date person centred needs assessments, support plans are in place that are regularly reviewed;
Ensure that incidents complaints, accidents and near misses are appropriately recorded and there are adequate records and rota in place to evidence the provision of care and support,
Liaise professionally with tenants parents, social workers, and others to make sure that the network of support is functioning effectively
Supervise and lead your staff team, to provide a high quality of care and support, making sure that they have individual learning plans regularly reviewed ad update, that they have regular supervision and record are kept and conduct annual reviews with them.
Undertake other tasks as directed by the care and support Manager.

The Successful candidate

Were looking for somebody with experience of leading and developing staff teams in a social care environment that supports people with learning disabilities. Youll have been working in a supervisory role such as Team Leader or Senior Support Worker previously.

Youll need NVQ level 3 or QCF level 3 in health and social care

Youll demonstrate a passion for supporting people to achieve their goals,

Youll have a working knowledge of person centred support and care planning, needs and risk assessment, safeguarding, first line supervision, health and safety
