Legal 500 firm in London seeks a Law Cost Draftsperson.
Our client is actively seeking a Law Cost Draftsperson to join its busy practice located in the heart of London. The successful applicant will have extensive technical knowledge and strong experience of drafting bills.
• Preparing bills of costs
• Legal Aid and privately funded matters
• Ensuring compliance with assessment and costs recovery rules
• Negotiating settlement of claims
• Liaising with professionals
• Applications are encouraged from draftspeople with a minimum of three years’ experience in both legal aid and private billing
• Experienced in CCMS drafting both legal aid and inter-partes bills in family and housing matters
• It is essential to possess a solid background in legal aid
• Work efficiently as part of a team and individually under own initiative
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written
