Service Desk Analyst - Maternity Cover

Location: Birkenhead

Salary: £24,452 per annum

Hours: 37 per week

Our client is looking to recruit a Service Desk Analyst to join their ICT team[CS1] on a 12-month fixed term contract (FTC) to cover maternity leave. This FTC is a full time role based on working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with the occasional out of hours (evening and weekend) work and work during holiday periods. The role is based out of their main office in Birkenhead which is easily accessible from most transport links.

Purpose of the Service Desk Analyst

The Service Desk Analyst is responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line ICT support to internal and external customers who require assistance with hardware, software, applications, network or telephony. The post holder will ensure ICT customers can access high quality services in accordance with published service standards

Requirements of the Service Desk Analyst

Essential

* The post holder will have a recognised ICT qualification, or relevant experience of providing ICT Service Desk support in a working environment to multiple users.
* Experience of supporting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
* Recent experience of supporting Microsoft 365 Office products(including desktop applications) to an advanced level, including Outlook.
* Experience of providing support for common issues such as file management, desktop shortcuts, printing and user profiles.
* Experience of providing basic telephony system administration.
* Experience of providing support both face to face and using remote access software
* Experience of administering Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 and Active Directory including creating user accounts, managing permissions, Remote Desktop (RDP), viewing error logs and starting/restarting services
