Field Service Engineer, Thame, £30,000pa £35,000pa plus car & benefits:
A leading manufacturing company specialising in the design, development and production of specialist instrumentation is seeking a Field Service Engineer with a solid electromechanical based skills. This is an exciting time to join this company. Having recently been bought out by a large US firm, they have made the strategic decision to create a new service division. The Field Service Engineer will be joining the Service Manager initially in the workshop.
As the department grows so will the amount of time spent in the Field. At present the role is split as follows: 30% travelling and 70% in house. This will grow as the calibration and servicing division grows and would expect it to move to 60% travelling and 40% in house split. This role comes with a competitive salary, company car, travel expenses paid and good benefits.
The successful Field Service Engineer will need the following experience and skills: Qualifications Desirable: HNC in electronic or mechanical engineering or 3 years of working knowledge in the use and function of electronic and processing equipment applicable to permeation and gas testing. Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):
Working knowledge in use and function of electronic and processing equipment applicable to permeation and gas testing.
Demonstrate ability with instrumentation, electronics, tools and control systems.
Experience reading and interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals.
Experience preparing, processing, or verifying maintenance and repair and test records.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including electronic testing instrumentation, control devices, computers and related software.
Experience and training related to:
Gas processing and gas physics fundamentals
Governmental and International regulations, and standards.
